Beginner Chicken Workshop March 28th 9am - 11:30am

It’s been years in the making and it’s finally here. 

I’ve helped hundreds a of chicken mums begin their chicken journey and what has become apparent over the years is how much education is really needed in this world of chickening. 

In this workshop you will learn everything you need know about raising chickens, and the kind of information you can’t really find in with google, which are the difficult things less spoken about. 

An overview of the workshop:

What to feed your chickens from day old to laying and how much food they even need
What bedding to use in nesting boxes and coop floors
How to worm your chickens 
How to identify illness in your flock
How to prevent illness in your flock
How to clip wings if you have naughty chooks love your gardens 
How to sex cockerels and pullets 
How to trim head poofs so your chickens can see 
How to tell if your eggs are fertile
Learn about all breeds of chickens
Create rainbow eggs with your flock and learn what breeds lay what coloured eggs. 
Increase egg production naturally and organically
Understand where natural and organic chicken health meets the necessary use of some wormers, antibiotics, or lice and mite treatments. 

At the end there will be a Q and A to get specific help you may need with your chookies. 

This will a 2.5 hour workshop which may go over time with the Q an A.
